The Kebbi State House of Assembly has commended the administration of Governor Nasir Idris Gwandu over its achievements in the state.
The House, a unanimous resolution, passed a “vote-of-confidence” on the governor after x-raying his achievements within 100 days in office.
This followed a motion moved by a member representing Arewa Constituency, Nuradeen Kangiwa, during plenary in Birnin Kebbi and seconded by the lawmaker representing Danko/Wasagu East Constituency, Muhammad Garba-Bena, on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
The lawmakers, who deliberated on the achievements sector-by-sector, said the governor has rightly positioned the state in the path of development recovery.

They further highlighted the dividends of democracy enjoyed by people of their constituencies within the 100 days of Idris in office.
The dividends, they said, were through infrastructure, education, agriculture, health and the fight against insecurity, particularly in the Southern part of the state, among others.
The lawmakers, therefore, urged the political officeholders, civil servants, and residents of Kebbi State to reciprocate the gesture through cooperation and support to policies and programmes of the state government.
The Speaker of the House, Mohammad Usman-Zuru, said the lawmakers agreed with the passage of vote-of-confidence motion.
Usman-Zuru said the action was to encourage the governor to remain on the path of progress, describing his style of leadership so far as exemplary.
