No fewer than 15 people have been injured in a gas explosion at Ijora Badia in Lagos State.
It was gathered that the explosion, which occurred at about 5:00 p.m., was caused by a leaking 25-kilogramme gas cylinder inside a mini shop.
The shop was part of a bungalow complex that also housed 15 self-contained rooms and seven other shops.
An eyewitness, Kabiru Ahmed, disclosed that the explosion caused extensive damage, although no fatalities were recorded.
Preliminary findings suggested that the gas leak, likely due to improper handling, was ignited by a nearby flame.

She said: “15 individuals, including adults and children of both sexes, sustained varying degrees of burn injuries.
“Many received first aid on-site, while others were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
“Thankfully, none of the injuries are life-threatening.”
