A 12-year-old boy and his 10-year-old brother have been electrocuted in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the brothers were electrocuted in Lagos on Monday, May 6, 2024.
The 12-year-old boy was said to have died while his brother is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
Confirming the incident on Wednesday, the Lagos State Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the Denton Police Division in Ebute Metta received a distress call at about 8:58 a.m. on Monday of the presence of immobile bodies of two young boys on the street.

Huneyin said on the receipt of the information, the anti-crime team from the police station immediately went to the scene and found the bodies surrounded by onlookers.
“The victims were later rushed to Ebute Metta General Hospital and later transferred to Lagos State General Hospital, Lagos Island, where the 12 years old was confirmed dead by a doctor and the 10-year-old was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit,” the police spokesman disclosed.
Hundeyin, who did not give the names of the two boys, said they were siblings.
He added that an investigation was ongoing to determine the nature of the incident.
