The people of Alor community in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State have donated N30 million to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige, to obtain the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC had announced to sell its presidential nomination forms for N100 million.
Handing over the document, containing the names of the contributors to Ngige in Abuja on Thursday, the President-General of Alor Peoples Convention, Chief Uzoma Igbonwa, said the donation was to assist the minister clinch the presidential ticket of the APC and win the 2023 presidential election.
Recall that the traditional ruler of Alor, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Collins Chukwumesili, in a statement earlier in the week, appealed to the leaders of APC to “assist their son emerge victorious”.

Ngige is vying for the APC presidential ticket alongside Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba; and former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
Others include Governors Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Ben Ayade (Cross River), and David Umahi (Ebonyi).
Others are former Governors Bola Tinubu (Lagos), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Sen. Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Sen. Rochas Okorocha (Imo), and Sen. Orji Kalu (Abia).
