2023: Like Osinbajo, Tinubu meets APC governors

National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday met with no fewer than 14 governors elected on the platform of the ruling party.

Tinubu’s meeting is coming few hours after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo held similar meeting with APC governors and formally declared his intention to contest the 2023 Presidency.

While Osinbajo met some of the governors, sources say between 10 and 12 governors, at the Presidential Villa, Tinubu is meeting the governors at the Kebbi State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

Some of the governors in attendance are Governors Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Abubakar Baduru (Jigawa), Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Hope Uzodinma (Imo) and others.

Tinubu had been meeting the governors individually.

He has been going across the country for consultations.
