Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has approved an 8-day addendum to the 2022/2023 schools’ academic calendar in the state.
The Borno State Commissioner for Education, Lawan Wakilbe, who disclosed this in Maiduguri on Friday, said the approval was to enable workers and eligible students to exercise their civic rights.

Wakilbe said Governor Zulum approved the eight days holiday for the forthcoming general election in February to also enable the usage of schools as collation centres.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had fixed the Presidential and National Assembly elections for February 25, while Governorship and State Assembly elections will hold on March 11, 2023.
