30 abducted Katsina children regain freedom

30 children abducted by bandits at Kasai village in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State have regained freedom.

The children were released on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 24 hours after their abduction.

The Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, who confirmed the development on Tuesday, said the children’s release followed a concerted effort by the police, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Bandits had, on Monday, abducted the children, mostly girls, while fetching firewood in the bush in Kasai village, Katsina State.
