314 Boko Haram terrorists surrendered to army in Borno

314 Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to the troops of the Nigerian Army in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

The army disclosed this via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

The Nigerian Army added that 12 farmers were also rescued by the troops.

It stated: “The ongoing offensive onslaught against terrorism in the North East recorded another success today, 29 June 2022 as 314 BokoHaram/ISWAP fighters surrendered to troops in Bama LGA of Borno State.

“Additionally, 12 farmers were also rescued by troops.”

The latest development is coming barely two weeks after 204 Boko Haram insurgents, including their family members surrendered to the troops in Borno State.

The Nigerian Army had disclosed that the terrorists surrendered to the troops in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

This came hours after the army announced that the troops of Operation Desert Sanity and the Civilian Joint Task Forces (CJTF) killed terrorists of the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) around Gurzum, Borno State.

The army stated that the troops also destroyed the terrorists’ market and camps, adding that weapons, amongst others were also recovered from the insurgents.
