Six persons have been confirmed dead while 25 others were injured in a multiple crash under the Karu Bridge in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, confirmed the incident on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Ogungbemide disclosed that the crash involved 18 vehicles, including two articulated vehicles, two buses, one jeep and 11 cars.
Ogungbemide said the vehicles were severely damaged, with some of them engulfed in flames.
He stated that the emergency responders, including the FRSC, Red Cross, Fire Service, and military quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
