The immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, says the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, remains the shining light of progressive politics in Nigeria.
Fayemi, in a congratulatory message to Tinubu in commemoration of the latter’s 71st birthday on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, described the President-elect as illustrious leader and astute politician.
The former governor equally said Tinubu succeeded as a talent hunter, noting that the ex-governor of Lagos State built bridges and nurtured networks across the country.
He stated: “My wife and I heartily felicitate with our illustrious leader, astute politician, democrat and statesman, President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the occasion of your 71st birthday.

“Your birthday is a celebration of courage, uncanny sagacity, sound resolve, power of strategy, commitment to principles and goals, and fidelity to democracy.
“In over three decades of knowing you, your meteoric rise in the corporate and political realms has left remarkable footprints in the sand of time.
“As a Third Republic Senator, pro-democracy crusader, former Governor of Lagos State, and All Progressive Congress (APC) National Leader, you have remained the shining light of progressive politics in our beloved country.
“You have succeeded as a talent hunter. You have made your mark as a believer in human capital development.
“You have built bridges and nurtured networks across the nation. In private and public life, you are a reliable, dependable, and passionate leader; a humanist par excellence; generous, accommodating, tolerant, and forward-looking.
“As Nigerians look forward to a new dawn under your leadership, I pray that the Almighty God grants you greater wisdom, robust health, and the grace to translate your lofty dreams for our beloved country into reality,” Fayemi said.
