Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has released 11 convicts in exercise of the prerogative of mercy powers conferred by Section 212 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
El-Rufai, who acted on the recommendation of the State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy, released the convicts on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
This was contained in a statement issued by the state government on Sunday.
