Nollywood actress, Ronke Ojo-Anthony, popularly known as Ronke Oshodi Oke, has alleged that her daughter, Jumoke, was poisoned in her school.
Ronke said Jumoke’s “roommates or friends deliberately” poured a cloth-bleaching substance, hypo, into her water bottle, with the intention to kill her.
The 48-year-old actress, who did not mention the name of the university, added that her daughter was taken to three hospitals for treatment before she felt better.
The movie producer, in a recent Instagram post, disclosed that she was called at about 3:45 a.m. on one Friday that her daughter drank hypo.
Ronke said the incident occurred three weeks ago, adding that she quickly ran to the university’s hospital, where met her daughter crying and in discomfort.
She said: “Good evening my people, let me tell you something. You will notice that you didn’t see me on Instagram for a while.

“My daughter is in the university now. What happened was that, about three weeks ago, they called me at about 3:45 a.m. that my daughter, Jummy drank hypo. I was like hypo how? How will my child drink hypo?
“I went to the school and when I got there, I went to the hospital. She was crying. She was not herself. What happened was that maybe her roommate or friends deliberately poured hypo into the water that she drinks. They want to kill her.
“I gave her a water bottle. I bought the water bottle because I was told by the hospital to regularly take water. She loved the water bottle which had a straw attached to it.
“She just took up the bottle at about 3 a.m. and drank the water. Not knowing that someone had poured hypo inside the water and covered it tightly.
“Do you know they actually want to kill her? So that you can know that something is happening in this life.
“I intentionally do not want to mention the name of the school because I don’t want to tarnish their image.
“We went to three hospitals before my daughter got better. We were saved at a general hospital. I have only received mercy to take care of my children because I am nothing,” the famous actress disclosed.
Ronke, who warned the school to prevent such incidents from occurring, however, urged parents to be cautious of their children.
She stressed that she would not tolerate such an incident happening again to her daughter, adding that as a mother of only two children, she would take any future occurrences seriously.
