The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its planned National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings earlier slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
The acting National Chairman of the APC, Abubakar Kyari, made this known while speaking with journalists after an emergency meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at its National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday, July 17.
Kyari, who said a new date for the meetings would be announced later, confirmed that the former governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Adamu, and ex-deputy governor of Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, have resigned as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the APC, respectively.

He added that the change in the party’s leadership necessitated the postponement of the meetings.
Kyari said: “With this recent development in the change of leadership, I would like to inform everybody here that the proposed National Caucus meeting slated for Tuesday, 18th July 2023, and the NEC meeting of the APC slated for Wednesday 19th July 2023 are hereby postponed.
“The postponement is not indefinite but a new date will be communicated in the near future. This is our announcement today and information to you our dear friends.”
“The two individuals (Adamu and Omisore) have resigned voluntarily and that is what is available at this moment.”
