An Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun, on Tuesday, sentenced a 31-year-old man, Adeseun Samuel, to one-year imprisonment for breaking into a church to steal keyboard and other items worth N350,000.
In her ruling, the Magistrate, Mr. O. O. Okiki, sentenced the convict to one-year imprisonment without any option of fine, after pleading guilty to burglary and theft.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp E. O. Adaraloye, told the court that the convict committed the offences on October 9 at about 11a.m. at No.64, Olamide Street, Eleidi area, Ota.
Adaraloye said the convict broke into The Redeemed Christian Church of God (Dominion Sanctuary) and stole a keyboard, two mixers and other valuable items worth N350,000.
He said the offences contravened Sections 390(9) and 411 of the Criminal Code, Law of Ogun, 2006.
