President Bola Tinubu has signed N2.17 trillion 2023 supplementary budget into law.

Tinubu signed the budget in his office at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday in the presence of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu; and the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zacheaus Adedeji.

The Presidency had said the 2023 supplementary budget would further enhance the capacity of the nation’s defence and the security agencies to enable them to address current and emerging security challenges in the country.

Others are infrastructure and palliative for civil servants to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
