The Management of the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards (CE-sPESS) of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) wishes to notify the general public through this medium that a new course has been added to the Centre’s existing academic curriculum for Executive Short Courses (Track A).
The additional course, which is in the Procurement Management programme area, is as follows:
Module 11: FUNDAMENTALS OF E-PROCUREMENT PRACTICE
The course on E-Procurement aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in leveraging E-Procurement technologies and strategies for efficient, transparent, and cost-effective procurement processes. Participants will gain insights into the latest tools, best practices, and implementation methodologies to enhance their organization’s procurement practices using electronic tools and methods.
Course Objectives: –
The participants will be trained to understand:
I. E-procurement basics and its benefits for organizations.
II. The key technologies and platforms used in e-procurement.
III. How to Implement e-procurement processes and workflows.
IV. Management of suppliers/vendors and contracts electronically.
V. The use of case studies to understand the benefits, challenges of using E-Procurement platforms.
