Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has won the prestigious 2024 Golden Boy Award.
Yamal, 17, beat off competition from Barcelona team-mate Pau Cubarsi and youngsters Kobbie Mainoo, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Joao Neves to win the Golden Boy Award.
The Barcelona starlet was announced as the winner on Wednesday, with the official presentation of the trophy scheduled for Turin in Italy on December 16, 2024.
Barcelona’s Vicky Lopez also won the Golden Girl trophy, while the club’s midfielder, Aitana Bonmati, took home the Golden Woman award.
Yamal picked up the prize after an incredible year where he has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting youngsters in the world.

Yamal helped Spain to win Euro 2024 in the summer and has become a key player for club side Barcelona who currently top LaLiga table.
The award is handed out every year to the best Under-21 player in Europe by Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Previous Barcelona winners have included Pedri and Gavi, while Argentine star Lionel Messi won the award in 2005.
It’s not the only award Yamal has picked up recently. He claimed the Kopa Trophy at the 2024 Ballon d’Or Awards.
