The kidnappers, who abducted 10 persons from an estate in the Dutse area of Abuja on January 7, 2014, have reportedly killed three of the victims in captivity.
It was gathered that the victims were killed over the delay in paying the ransom demanded by the kidnappers.
It was learnt that the gunmen killed the victims to send a warning to their relatives negotiating ransom payment.
The abductors were said to have increased their demand from N60 million per person to N100 million, totaling N700 million.

It was further gathered that a 13-year-old high school student, Folorunsho Ariyo, was among those killed by the gunmen.
Reports had, on Sunday, emerged that the kidnappers killed one of the six abducted persons in the Bwari area of Abuja to force the family into quickly raising the demanded ransom.
Meanwhile, the residents of Sagwari Layout have concluded plans to stage a protest against the alleged inaction of the government and security agencies in rescuing the abductees.
Initially planned for Monday, January 15, it was gathered that the protest was shifted to Tuesday as a result of Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The FCT Police Command has however yet to speak on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
