The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has commended the Nigerian Air Force for the recent raids which led to the death of two notorious bandit leaders and others in Zamfara State.
The ACF, in a statement on Monday by its National Working Committee Chairman, Chief Audu Ogbeh, disclosed the identity of the slain bandit leaders as Alhaji Auta and Kachalla Luga.
Ogbeh, who added that scores of bandits were also killed in the operation codenamed Hadarin Daji, enjoined the airforce and other military officers to maintain the onslaught until the terrorists in the Northern region of the country surrender.
He said: “The Arewa Consultative Forum would like to commend the Nigerian military, particularly the Nigerian Air Force for raids it carried out recently against terrorist elements.
“Last weekend, for instance, the airforce carried out an offensive which led to the death of two notorious bandit leaders, Alhaji Auta and Kachalla Luga in Zamfara. Many of their followers were also killed in the operation codenamed Hadarin Daji.
“We urged the airforce and all our gallant fighters to maintain the current onslaught until the terrorists surrender. It is only when such tempo is maintained that the leadership can be assured of the morale of our fighting men.”
