The management of OANDO Plc has denied having any shares in a Maltese oil blending company that is reportedly behind the importation of adulterated petrol products into Nigeria.

The oil company, in a statement on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, “categorically states that neither OANDO Plc nor its executives have ever had investments in the said Maltese company.”

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a story circulating on social media and WhatsApp.

“The story alleges, among other things, that OANDO Plc and its executives are shareholders in a Maltese oil blending company named Raz Hansir Oil Terminal Limited, that is purportedly responsible for importing adulterated petroleum products into Nigeria.

“We would like to categorically state that neither OANDO Plc nor its executives have ever had investments in the said Maltese company.

“These assertions are false and misleading, and we kindly ask the public to disregard them.”
