No fewer than three persons have reportedly died after a vehicle in the convoy of Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, was involved in an accident in the state.
It was gathered that the incident occurred around Fadamareke in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Thursday after a Toyota Hilux conveying the vigilantes who were accompanying the governor for a campaign engagement tried to negotiate a sharp bend.
Three occupants of the vehicle, including the head of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) informal security arm, Bako Kaura, and his son, Adamu, were said to have died in the accident.
It was further learned that five other persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in the auto crash.

An eyewitness disclosed that he saw three lifeless bodies, “but there’s a fourth that I think can hardly make it out of coma because of the injury he sustained.”
This is coming barely a few days after two police officers were injured after a truck crushed two vehicles in Governor Fintiri’s convoy in Adamawa State.
The Star had reported that the incident occurred shortly after Fintiri, who escaped unhurt, and some of his commissioners were about to leave a wedding ceremony at Agga Mosque in Dougirei highbrow area of Yola, the Adamawa State capital on Saturday.
