The wife of Ondo State Governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, says she is preventing her husband, Rotimi Akeredolu, from eating concoctions.
The First Lady said this while responding to a comment on the post she shared on her Facebook page on Thursday, April 20.
The governor’s wife, who shared a picture of herself with Akeredolu sitting on a couch, said she has taken her husband to a place he loves.
She gushed over the governor with the lyrics of famous Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel’s hit song, ‘Cough’.
“Cough! (Odo by Kiss Daniel) 😅. I have carried my love ❤️ away to a place he loves, odoyewu,” she wrote.
Reacting to the post, a Facebook user, Olorioko Akinjobi Olamide Samuel, said: “Mummy, my mummy he is always yours. Nothing, no one shall separate you two. I love you!”

Responding, the First Lady stated: “I know but I have to be at (the) gate not to allow any ‘concoction’ to get in.”
She had, in January 2023, threatened to deal with one of the governor’s Special Advisers, Olubunmi Adedipe Ademosu, for allegedly sneaking in concoctions to her husband.
The governor’s wife further described Ademosu as “a terrible human”, advising the aide to “go away and enjoy your loot”.
Governor Akeredolu later called for calm over the state of his health, adding that he is not a super human.
He noted that the immunity his office enjoys does not extend to physical wellness, adding that he is not faced with any life-threatening illness that would have encouraged any alleged conspiracy in his administration.
Akeredolu stressed that he will continue to discharge his official duties to the people of Ondo State in line with the ‘REDEEMED Agenda’ of his administration.
The governor added that he will find quality time to rest for renewed vigour and strength just like any man in his situation.
