The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has been screened by the party for a senatorial seat.
Oshiomhole was screened for a senatorial seat after he declared his intention to contest for the office of President ahead of the 2023 general election.
He also obtained the presidential nomination forms of the APC valued at N100 million.
The former governor of Edo State equally declared to contest for Edo North Senate seat on the platform of the APC.
Oshiomhole made the declaration while speaking at his 70th birthday ceremony held at his residence in Iyamoh in the Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State on April 4, 2022.

He, however, arrived the venue of the screening exercise at Fraiser Suite, Abuja, at about 8:12 p.m. and maneuvered his way into the venue of the exercise through the crowd at the entrance.
Others at the screening venue include Betty Anyawu-Akeredolu, the wife of Ondo governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who is contesting for Imo East senatorial district seat.
The screening committee is expected to screen 351 aspirants who bought the senate nomination forms of the ruling party.
The screening has been scheduled to last for two days.
