The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the party’s vice-chairman in North-East, Mustapha Salihu, for six months over alleged anti-party activities.
Salihu was said to be associating with Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, who is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, also hails from Adamawa State.
Also suspended by the APC was Rumde ward chairman, Abdulkadir Abdullahi.
Their suspension was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the vice-chairman and secretary of Rumde ward, Abdulhadi Ahmed and Garba Mohammed, respectively.
