APC welfare secretary, Nwosu, is dead

The National Welfare Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Friday Nwosu, has been confirmed dead.

It was gathered that Nwosu, a member of the APC National Working Committee (NWC), died in a hospital in Abuja on Thursday.

The demise of the APC chieftain was disclosed via a tweet on the official Twitter account of the party on Thursday night.

“RIP SIR F.N. NWOSU. Words are not enough to describe the monumental loss brought by the passing of the Party’s National Welfare Secretary, Sir Friday Nwanozie Nwosu on the APC family. May his soul rest in peace,” the ruling party tweeted.

Nwosu once contested the Abia State governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before defecting to the APC.
