The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has affirmed Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, as the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election in the state.
The Appeal Court, in a judgement delivered by a three-member panel on Thursday, November 23, set aside the October 2 judgement of the Nasarawa State Election Petitions Tribunal that sacked Governor Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the governorship election.
The court held that the tribunal erred in law in declaring that Sule did not win the majority of the votes cast in the gubernatorial poll.
