Atiku, Okowa meet Jonathan in Abuja

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate and Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, have met with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.

Atiku disclosed this via a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Friday.

The former Vice President stated that he led a delegation to visit Jonathan at his residence in Abuja on Thursday.

“Last night, I led a delegation alongside my vice presidential candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on a courtesy visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Abuja,” he stated.

Also announcing the meeting via his Twitter account, Okowa said they discussed their plans to “recover Nigeria” with the former President.

“Last night, alongside our presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, we had a great meeting with our former President, H.E. Goodluck Jonathan. There, we discussed our plans to #RecoverNigeria with His Excellency,” the governor tweeted.
