The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, says the errors in the newspaper advert in which he congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his 80th birthday were not intended.
There were errors in the years of service of Buhari as Nigeria’s President and the years Atiku served as Vice President of the country.
Instead of stating the President’s years of current service to be 2015-2023, the advert wrongly quoted 2010-2015.

The advert also stated Atiku’s years of service to be 1999, without the mention of 2007 as the terminal year.
Reacting to the development, the PDP presidential flag-bearer, in a statement issued and made available to The Star on Saturday by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, said both errors were “highly regretted and certainly not intended”.
“We regret to blame the error on Printers Devil and we, as well, regret all embarrassment it might have caused the leaders in mention,” he added.
