Bala Mohammed emerges PDP govs chair, Fubara is deputy

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has been elected as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, announced this shortly after a closed door meeting at the Government House in Bauchi on Saturday, June 13.

The 13 PDP governors and bigwigs of the party were in Bauchi for a one-day retreat for the officials elected under the party’s platform.

Fintiri added that Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, was elected Vice Chairman of the forum.

He said Mohammed was elected based on his competence and capability to steer the forum to greater heights.

Responding, Mohammed promised to with his colleagues develop the party and the country.

The governor said: “My emergence as the Chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum is a mark of honour to me and the entire people of Bauchi State.

“I’m using this opportunity to call on all my colleagues to support me in order to move the forum and the party forward.”
