Bandits have reportedly killed no fewer than two persons during an attack on Kaura-Namoda town, the headquarters of Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
It was gathered that the bandits invaded the town at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday, shooting sporadically.
The attack was said to have forced residents to scamper for safety.

A resident of Kaura-Namoda, Ismaila Kaura, disclosed that two persons, including a female student identified as Ni’ima who was on her way to Islammiyya school, were killed during the attack.
Kaura added that the troops of the Nigerian Army deployed to the town engaged the bandits in a gun duel and forced them to flee the town.
Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Police Command has yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
