Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted the former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd), at Tsiga village in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

It was gathered that the former NYSC DG was kidnapped during an attack on the village at about 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that Tsiga was kidnapped alongside several other villagers, adding that their current whereabouts remain unknown.
The Katsina State Police Command has yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
