It was learnt that the third officer escaped unhurt.

Commiserating with the NIS, Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Firdaus.

He said the sacrifice they made to the nation would never be forgotten as their lives were cut short during service.

Governor Idris enjoined other immigration officers not to be deterred by the act of who he described as notorious and bad elements in society, urging them to continue with their legitimate and lawful duty as scheduled.

Idris assured that the state government would continue to do everything possible to ensure protection of lives and property of people across the state.
