Big Brother Naija season 7 to commence July 23

Multichoice Nigeria, the organisers of Big Brother Naija, has announced that season seven of the reality television show will commence on July 23, 2022.

The organisers also announced that the season seven’s winner will take home a grand prize worth N100 million, including N50 million cash, and other exciting prizes.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels, Multichoice, Busola Tejumola, said the seventh season of the reality show will commence with a double launch show on Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, 24 July 2022.

According to her, both shows will air from 7 pm on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban and Africa Magic Family channels, and the 24-hour show on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.

BBNaija fans across Africa will also watch the show live via the African online streaming service, Showmax.

“This can be viewed on DSTV channel 198 and Go tv channel 29 from 7pm.

“This is expected to run for 72 days, which is 10 weeks, there will be live eviction shows every Sunday as the show runs.

“The theme for the show is ‘Only Way is Up’,” Tejumola stated.

The headline sponsor for Big Brother Naija season seven is Pocket by Piggyvest, while the associate sponsor is Flutterwave.

She stated that the show will witness a return of a few pre-COVID 19 elements, including the fan-favourite ‘Ninjas’ and a live studio audience.

No fewer than 30 fans of the show will also win N1 million each in the Fave Lock-In promo exclusive to DStv & GOtv customers.

According to Tejumola, the show will also retain its voting style from last year.

“Voting will only be on the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, and the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps for active customers,” she added.
