Social media influencer, Martins Otse, popularly known VeryDarkMan, has vowed not to further speak about the bribery allegations preferred against cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, fondly called Bobrisky.
VeryDarkMan made this known while appearing before the House of Representatives committee investigating the allegations on Monday, September 30, 2024.
The House had, last Thursday, September 26, resolved to investigate the N15 bribery allegation against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the case of the money laundering charge against Bobrisky.
This was after VeryDarkMan released an alleged audio of Bobrisky saying EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) officers demanded N15 million from him to serve his prison term at a VIP Section of the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre in Lagos State.
Speaking before the lawmakers on Monday, VeryDarkMan said: “I don’t know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here.
“Bobrisky said in the voice note that there is a godfather. Maybe the godfather told him not to come. He has disrespected this committee by not coming here.

“You are already threatening me with arrest. If you detain me, I will stay in the cell. If Bobrisky is not here, I will not say anything. If I say anything, let me die.”
The members of the committee, thereafter, urged the social media influencer to speak on the allegations, saying Bobrisky would similarly face the panel.
The investigation is still ongoing as of press time.
The federal government, last week, suspended some senior officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service over the bribery allegations.
Bobrisky, however, denied the allegations in a post shared on his social media accounts, saying: “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money is a very big lie.
“I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information.”
