Borno lawmaker’s daughter killed in Maiduguri

Amma Buwa, the daughter of the lawmaker representing Ngala Local Government Area in the Borno State House of Assembly, Bukar Abacha, has been reportedly killed by some unknown persons in the state.

It was gathered that Buwa was strangulated to death in her residence in the Gidan Dembe area of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, at about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17.

It was learned that the lawmaker’s daughter was killed by the assailants after her husband left the house to a nearby mosque for prayers.

A family member (name withheld) who shared the news of the incident on his Facebook page said the remains of the deceased would be buried today (Wednesday) morning in Maiduguri.

He stated: “Inna lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.

“Mrs. Amma Buwa was killed by some hoodlums earlier today after Ishai prayer when some unknown men invaded her house after her husband left for the masjid to pray.

“Amma is the daughter of member Representing Ngala at the state House of Assembly.

“The janaiza (burial) will occur at 777 Housing Estate by 10 am in Maiduguri. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”

Meanwhile, the Borno State Police Command has yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
