President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the attacks on the residents and security operatives in the South-East, saying the reports of killings anywhere in the country were sad and unwelcome.
Buhari, however, promised all possible action in conducting a speedy investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The President made this known in reaction to the killing of four police officers during an attack on Agwa Divisional Police headquarters in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Star had reported that the gunmen also razed part of the police headquarters and vehicles during the attack which occurred on Friday night.
