Burna Boy, Tems make Obama’s 2022 summer playlist

Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’ and Tems’ ‘Vibe Out’ have made former President Barack Obama’s 2022 summer playlist.

This was made known after Obama shared his annual Summer playlist for 2022 via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

Pheelz’s Finesse featuring BNXN formerly known as Buju, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Die Hard’, Beyonce’s ‘Break My Soul’, and Rosalia’s ‘Saoko’ were also included in the playlist.

“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies – it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.

“Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?” Obama tweeted.

This is not the first time a Nigerian musician will make Obama’s favourite song list.

In 2020, Wizkid’s ‘Smile’, Davido and Tems also made the list for their feature on the remix of Khalid and Disclosure’s ‘Know Your Worth’.

In 2019, Rema made Obama’s summer playlist with his hit song ‘Iron Man’.
