Celebrities, in the early hours of Tuesday, reacted to the yet-to-be-confirmed death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the three-year-old son of famous Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, fondly called Davido.
The Star had reported that Davido’s first son drowned in a swimming pool at his residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State on Monday.
It was learnt that the little boy was rushed to a hospital in the Lekki area of the state where he was confirmed dead by one of the doctors on duty.
Reacting to the incident via his verified Twitter handle, popular comedian, Ayo Makun, well known as AY, said: “The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic. This hits me so bad.”
Also speaking via his Twitter page, veteran rapper, M.I Abaga, stated: “What a dark day. My heart and love go to David and Chioma.”

Actor Williams Uchemba, on Instagram, wrote: “I said I won’t believe anything on social media until I personally confirm myself. I prayed for it to be a lie.
“I am upset, pained and confused. Nobody deserves to feel this pain. Please say a prayer for David, Chioma, and the entire family. Nobody deserves this kind of pain. Rest up, little one.”
On her part, media personality, Toolz, wrote on Twitter wrote: “Praying for healing, comfort and strength for David and Chioma. So heartbreaking.”
Also reacting via his Instagram page, popular Nollywood actor, Muyiwa Ademola, stated: “It is one of the saddest things when kids are being buried by parents. We really wish it never happened!
“May The Almighty give the parents and the entire Adeleke family the strength to bear this loss? Rest In Peace Champ.”
Popular singer, Waje, on her Twitter page, said: “Can you guys just pray for David’s and Chioma’s family and let them know we are here for them. That’s all they need right now. Love and support. Be kind to one another. Happy New Month.”
