The Chief Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters Juma’at Mosque in Abuja, Sheikh Nuru Khalid, has been sacked for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari over last Monday night’s terror attack on Abuja-Kaduna bound train.
The Chief Imam was sacked by the mosque’s Steering Committee on Monday.
This comes after the suspension of Khalid by the mosque’s Steering Committee.
The Chief Imam was barred from ministering at the mosque, following his criticism of the ineffectiveness of the country’s security system in dealing with the nation’s current security crisis.

However, the committee, on Monday, said the mosque decided to sack Khalid for not showing remorse.
When contacted, Khalid said he had not received any letter to that effect.
Khalid had after his suspension vowed to continue speaking what he described as the truth to power.
