Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has declared that Abdulazeez Fashola aka Naira Marley and Samson Erinfolami Balogun aka Sam Larry will be tried for sundry offences against Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad.
CP Owohunwa, while speaking at a briefing in Lagos on Friday, October 6, said during interrogation the suspects denied any link with the death of Mohbad.
He added that the suspects stated that they were outside the country when the incident occurred and that they were not connected with the chains of events that occasioned his eventual death between September 10 and 12, 2023.

The CP stated that though preliminary investigation did not directly link the duo to the death of Mohbad, but that they would face prosecution on account of allegations by the late singer.
Owohunwa stated that many of the 26 witnesses interviewed with corroborative video evidence affirmed that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry assaulted and bullied Mohbad before his demise.
“However, there are preponderance of evidence that linking both Sam Larry and Naira Marley to the allegations of threat to life, cyber stalking and sundry crimes committed against Mohbad in his lifetime. And they are being so held liable,” CP Owohunwa.
In its findings, the Police stated that an auxilliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, on September 12 administered highly potent injection on Mohbad which triggered reactions that eventually led to the death the singer.
The CP stated that after the injections were administered on the late singer, he began to vomit, convulse and develop goosebumps.
