A final year student of the Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), Akoka, Lagos State, Bello Akerodele Adisa, has been shot dead by cultists in the school.
It was gathered that Adisa, a student of Art and Design and in HND II, was shot dead in front of his faculty, Art Complex, at about 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Speaking on the tragic incident, a recent graduate of the institution who declined to be named, said Bello was the 5th Yabatech student killed by cultists in a week.
She disclosed that two students were killed by the cultists on campus while three others were shot dead outside the campus.

“Government should just do something about Yabatech because it’s becoming too much,” the graduate added.
Another student of the institution further disclosed that a student identified simply as Kunle who is a class governor of his department, Quality Survey, was also shot dead at the school Sports Complex.
The student, however, said only two students have been gunned down by cultists during the current semester, adding that others died in an accident.
“But according to my research this cult clash is not new in the school, but I don’t know much because I’m a new in the school, OND 1 student to be precise.
“We that are studying in the school are scared because we are not safe with the way these guys shoot anytime they like,” the student stated.
