Delta APC: Dennis Otuaro, bonafide member of our party

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed insinuations that Dr Dennis Otuaro, the new Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, is not a member of the party in the state.

Delta APC, in a statement issued on Thursday, April 11, 2024, said Otuaro is not just a bonafide member of the APC in Delta State but also a key financier and supporter of the party.

The party stated: “We the executive members of APC in Delta South wish to state without equivocation that Chief Dr Dennis Otuaro, (PhD) is a bonafide (card-carrying) member of our party, the APC, who has made outstanding sacrifices and contributions to the party since 2019.

“His contribution in the last general election in Delta State cannot be swept away by mischief-makers.”

‘No room for failure’: Otuaro assumes office as amnesty administrator

It noted that it was unaware of the group that published an advertorial in some newspapers alleging that Otuaro is not a member of the Delta APC.

The party noted that the authors of the said advertorial are not members of the APC and unknown by the party.

The party added: “This group is not known to the APC in Delta South and indeed the entire state.

“Also, the supposed Coordinator, Comrade, Clever Fomana and Secretary, Luke F Orotoma, are non-existent characters created by disgruntled people to cause unnecessary distraction in our party.”

The Delta APC urged the members of the party in the state and stakeholders in the region to support the new administrator, saying: “That should be everyone’s concern and interest right now, rather than petty squabbles over previous elections.”

The Delta APC also commended President Bola Tinubu for the appointment of Otuaro, describing the new administrator as “a square peg in a square hole”.
