Borussia Dortmund chief executive, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has refuted reports that the club could sign Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Watzke made this known while speaking to journalists in Germany on Friday.
He said: “I love this player, it’s certainly a charming idea – to see Cristiano play at Signal Iduna Park.
“But there is no contact at all between the parties involved.
“From that point of view, we should stop talking about it,” Dortmund chief executive stated.
Man United manager, Erik ten Hag, had earlier said Ronaldo is not for sale and remains in his plans.

The 37-year-old forward returned to Old Trafford last summer in a shock switch from Juventus.
The Portugal international still has a season remaining on his deal.
Ronaldo, who has repeatedly reiterated his respect for United, especially the fans, will in the 2023/23 season not play Champions League football – the first in his career – if he stays at Old Trafford.
The Portugal international has never played in the Europa League – which United will be in this season – and last played in its predecessor, the UEFA Cup when he was at Sporting Lisbon in the 2002/03 season.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in all competitions last season and was named the club’s Player of the Year, but United’s wait for a first trophy since 2017 dragged on.
