Edo delegates boo, chase away Minister, Senator

Delegates from Edo State on Saturday booed and chased away Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, and Senator Domingo Obende from the designated stand of the state at the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Both the minister and lawmaker were accused of anti-party activities.

The minister was shocked by the cold reception from his kinsmen.

A disappointed Ehanire left the state’s stand with his aides to the VIP stand.

A similar treatment was given to Senator Obende, a member of the 7th Senate (2011 to 2015). The lawmaker left the state’s stand disappointed.
