The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the collation of results for the Edo State governorship election will resume at 10 a.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
The Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Anugbum Onuoha, announced this in a statement on Sunday.
Onuoha added: “The collation process is being conducted transparently and in accordance with the guidelines of INEC.”
“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all parties as we strive to ensure a credible and accurate outcome of this important election.”
Edo election: INEC uploads 98.25% of results on IReV
The collation centre for the election was opened at 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, soon after polling ended in Local Government Areas of Edo State.
Meanwhile, INEC has uploaded 98.25% of polling unit result sheets of Saturday’s governorship election on its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
INEC has uploaded the result sheets of 4,440 polling units out of the 4,519 polling units in Edo State as of 5:44 a.m. on Sunday, September 22.
