Eedris Abdulkareem: My wife donated her kidney for my surgery

Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has applauded his wife, Yetunde, for donating kidney for his surgery.

The musician disclosed that the kidney transplant was successful.

He wrote: “I am specifically giving thanks and praises to the Almighty God for my successful kidney transplant surgery over the weekend. May His Holy name be glorified forever and forever.

“Words cannot express my love, devotion and commitment to my adorable, loving, supportive and compassionate wife, Yetunde, with whom God has made my life complete. Baby, I will always love, cherish and adore you forever.

“My awesome, lovely children, God has harkened to your fervent prayers. Daddy and mummy will be coming home hale and hearty soon.

“To my extended family, recording company, Lakreem Entertainment, my crew, friends, fans and well-wishers, I say God has done it for us again, and I will be seeing you guys soon.

“Finally, I am dropping this first note in appreciation of God’s love and infinite blessings for pulling me and my wife through all this; I will do an extensive shout-out as the time goes on.”

The renowned singer was diagnosed with kidney failure and hospitalised.

Eedris is a Nigerian hip hop artiste, singer and songwriter, who started his music career in 1996.

The singer came to limelight after being part of the group, Remedies which includes the likes of Tony Tetuilla and Eddy Montana before they finally went their seperate ways with each taking up a solo career.

He released his first solo album, ‘Pass’ in 2002, which was well received by music pundits, followed by Mr Lecturer, which mainly focused on sexual harrassment in universities.

He released another album ‘Jaga Jaga’ in 2004 which was more controversial than his previous album.

The song centred on the corruption and suffering in Nigeria and was banned on radio and television stations by the then president, Olusegun Obasanjo.

The rapper has received numerous awards and recognitions due to his immense contribution to the growth and development of entertainment industry.
