The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested by the EFCC operatives on Friday, May 31, 2024.
While 28 of them were arrested at Dawaki axis, the remaining 12 suspected internet fraudsters were apprehended in other areas of Abuja.
The EFCC, in a statement, said the suspects’ arrest followed credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet activities.

The anti-graft agency listed items seized from the suspects to include 23 phones, four laptops, and 4 vehicles.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the commission added.
