EFCC arrests 5 internet fraudsters in Benue

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested no fewer than five suspected internet fraudsters in Benue State.

The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested at Kansho village in the Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State on Friday, February 9, 2024.

The EFCC, in a statement, said the suspects were arrested following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.

The anti-graft agency listed the suspects to include Shima Francis, Ode Jesse, Odey Linus, Kingsley Obinna, and Emmanuel Inaleguwu.

Items recovered from them included one iPhone and five Android phones.

The EFCC added that the suspected internet fraudsters would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
