EFCC arrests 74 internet fraudsters in Ogun

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday, March 28, 2024, arrested 74 suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State.

The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested at the Government Residential Area (GRA) in Shagamu, Ogun State.

The EFCC, in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, on Thursday, said the arrest followed surveillance and intelligence exposing the suspects’ internet-related offences.

Oyewale listed items recovered from the suspects to include seven exotic cars, three laptops, 124 mobile phones, one PlayStation 3 game, two motorcycles, and other incriminating documents.

He added that the suspected internet fraudsters will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
