The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested popular nightclub celebrity, Pascal Okechukwu, well known as Cubana Chief Priest, on charges bordering on money laundering and tax fraud.
It was gathered that Cubana Chief Priest was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos on Thursday, but the officials of the EFCC hushed the development amidst pressure from his associates and family, who said the matter could complicate conditions for others likely connected to the alleged racket.
It was learned that the socialite’s arrest has made it impossible for him to return birthday greetings from his nearly four million Instagram followers, with only his wife being permitted to see him in custody.

Posting his appointment letter on Instagram, the socialite stated that he has an instruction from Governor Uzodinma to make over 1,000 Imo youths successful through social media.
A letter signed by the Secretary to the Imo State Government (SSG), Chief Cosmas Iwu, stated that the appointment of the popular nightclub celebrity took effect from January 10, 2022.
